int13 FAQ

Why doesn't int13 provide release dates ?

Our goal at int13 is to avoid releasing a game until it's ready. While we could release a lower quality product to meet a deadline, we instead choose to work on a game until it meets the high standards we know gamers expect.

How does int13 feel about Free Software ?

We believe in the Free Software merits and the "copyleft" philosophy, but we are selling software to earn our living and this is not compatible with the giveaway of our source code.

Nevertheless, we are committed to release the source code of our products when their sales reach a sufficient threshold.

How does int13 feel about Piracy ?

While we understand that most users like getting software for free, we also want to earn money from our work, and are therefore forced to fight piracy or at least try to slow it down.

We use software countermeasures and an advanced registration system to fight piracy.
If you find out that one of our games crashes after several hours or days of gaming, you may be in possession of a pirated copy.

Miscellaneous

I've noticed the use of kanji in some of your games, what do they mean ?

Indeed the kanji does not have any significance, it's a kind of reference to the Japanese games which sometimes use words or French expressions as in "La valeur" on PC engine or more recently Gundemonium on PC, we are doing the same with kanji :)
